The QCF Capacity Building Grants assist charities develop their structures, systems, people and skills in order to deliver improved outcomes.

Typically, capacity building focuses on education and training, recruiting, maintaining or recognising volunteers, information technology support systems, training, and planning and governance, which may include strategic plans, constitution reviews or board appraisals.

The 2018 grant round focused on mid-tier organisations supporting local communities, including but not limited to, environment and the arts.

  • Girringun Aboriginal Corporation – To engage present and future leaders of the organisation through cultural activities, arts, and natural resource management $26,220

  • Welcome to Australia Ltd – Train ten First Aid volunteers, purchase a Sports First Aid Kit, and increase impact in the community through specific Partnership Brokerage training $3,635
