Do you want to give to your regional community?
Queensland Community Foundation has four regional committees – Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and Northern Queensland. Donations to these regions allow people and organisations to support charities and community causes that directly benefit these specific areas.
In addition, donations made to these regions are invested in perpetuity with the income generated donated to charities and community services through our regional grants and specific local sub-funds.
Grants to charities in the nominated region are made each year. Local charities with DGR1 status, as endorsed by the Australian Tax Office are encouraged to apply in an annual funding round.
Queensland Community Foundation has appointed four Regional Advisory Committees to assist the Foundation in considering grant applications from local charities and organisations, and to recommend to the Trustee eligible recipients.
You can donate, or leave money or assets, specifically to the Trustee of QCF for the specified region. Money will be used to meet pressing and emerging needs in the region based on the recommendations of the local Advisory Committee.
