AEIOU – $10,000 grant: Child Placement Project Toowoomba
AEIOU strives to enhance the lives of children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged 2 to 6 years, and their families, through full-time early intervention education and therapy support. Its curriculum is specially developed to enhance vital life skills such as communication, social skills, cognitive learning and self-help skills.
AEIOU’s objective is for children with autism to transition into mainstream schooling, so that they may have the same access to life-changing education and social interaction as everyone else. QCF provided a $10,000 grant to facilitate early intervention support for one child across two years, with an aim to remedy some of the social, financial, and vocational challenges faced by autistic children and their families.
