Spotlight on our Grants

Donating to QCF provides an enduring income stream for charitable causes and organisations that creates lasting change in our community.

AEIOU – $10,000 grant: Child Placement Project Toowoomba

AEIOU strives to enhance the lives of children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, aged 2 to 6 years, and their families, through full-time early intervention education and therapy support. Its curriculum is specially developed to enhance vital life skills such as communication, social skills, cognitive learning and self-help skills.

AEIOU’s objective is for children with autism to transition into mainstream schooling, so that they may have the same access to life-changing education and social interaction as everyone else. QCF provided a $10,000 grant to facilitate early intervention support for one child across two years, with an aim to remedy some of the social, financial, and vocational challenges faced by autistic children and their families.

Sunshine Butterflies – $7,500 grant: Early Intervention Aqua Therapy Program

Sunshine Butterflies strives to improve the lives of people with disabilities by providing families with parent support, information and individual assistance, swim, social and recreational opportunities, early intervention programs, post school recreational programs, respite, and personal fundraising plans.

QCF recently awarded Sunshine Butterflies a grant towards its Early Intervention Aqua Therapy Program. The funds will go towards purchasing sun safe rash vests and solar heating. This program is for young children living with a disability, and is designed to assist children with balance, movement, relaxation and sensory development at a young age.
