Queensland Community Foundation provides a cost-effective and simple mechanism to support charity. All donations are pooled and invested with the income distributed for the purposes outlined in the letter of application.
There are no establishment fees and no ongoing administration fees.
All sub-funds are to be used for charitable purposes. The capital, comprising donated funds, cannot be accessed for administrative purposes. The Public Trustee charges 6% of income earned from a sub-fund as a trustee’s fee.
We offer a number of philanthropic tools for individuals, families or businesses. Our donors can give to Queensland Community Foundation, open a sub-fund or leave a bequest.
The foundation offers the following options for giving.
- Give to the General Fund
- Give where you live – to a regional sub-fund
- Give for a cause – to an existing sub-fund
- Create a lasting legacy – establish a sub-fund in memoriam
- Create a named sub-fund
