What is a Subfund?

QCF is comprised of a range of sub-funds which can be set up by an individual, business entity or charity.

The income is paid out annually by the Public Trustee for charitable purposes leaving all capital funds invested to continue producing income for future distribution.

Charity sub-funds

Members of the public can contribute to a specific charity through an established “sub-fund” with QCF.

More than 86 charities and non-profit organisations have an established sub-fund with QCF. These provide their organisations with a permanent income stream and provide their donors and supporters with another alternative to direct bequests and donations.

Private sub-funds

Citizens can establish an individual private sub-fund to enable them to create income streams for one or more charitable causes.

There are many “Deceased Estates” that have created a sub-fund in memory of the deceased or their family.  These funds are held for the benefit of the nominated charity or charities so that the testator is always remembered by the recipient.

"

...donations to all Sub-funds are tax deductible, including the initial establishment amount.
