Queensland Community Foundation, A Gift that Last Forever

Donations

To make a gift that will last forever, corporate or individual donors can give to any of over 150 sub-funds that benefit more than 86 respected charities and non-profit organisations throughout Queensland through the security and flexibility of QCF.

You can donate or leave money to the Trustee of QCF for:

  • The Queensland Community Foundation General Fund.  The General Fund distributes grants to charities and community groups every year across Queensland through criteria determined by QCF’s Board of Governors and the Trustee.
  • A charity that is aligned with QCF.  This will ensure the charity’s good work continues in the future.
  • One of the QCF’s regional sub-funds.  Money will then be used to meet needs in your chosen community.

You can do this during your lifetime with a donation or through your will.  Due to the perpetual funding nature of QCF, any size donation will make a difference.

Queensland Community Foundation is tax exempt and, as such, any donations made during your lifetime are tax deductible.  Note however, that income earned on invested funds may be distributed only to those organisations which have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

To arrange a bequest make an appointment at your local Public Trust Office or see your solicitor.

To obtain appropriate wording to be included in your will, ask your solicitor or accountant to contact Queensland Community Foundation, or contact your local Public Trust Office.

For more information on making a gift that lasts forever, or on how a charity can become part of QCF, go to the contact us page.
