About QCF
Queensland Community Foundation (QCF) is renowned as one of Queensland’s leading charitable organisations bringing together community, business, education and government leaders to further philanthropic causes across the State.QCF’s goals are to provide a cost effective, flexible and financially secure mechanism for those who wish to become involved in philanthropy.
The Foundation was established in 1997, under the trusteeship of the Public Trustee, to allow Queenslanders to donate money to charities or community causes on a perpetual basis.
Donations are made to a pool of funds that are invested to provide an ongoing income stream. As the original donations are never actually spent, they keep on giving long after the money is donated.
QCF has created permanent income streams from more than 130 sub-funds benefiting numerous charities and non-profit organisations throughout Queensland and has established a grants program through its General Fund to further improve services to the community.
The Foundation provides individuals, communities, groups and corporations with the unique opportunity to assist Queenslanders on an ongoing basis by allowing their donations and bequests to “keep on giving” to the community.
